She had been walking for little over an hour and she had left the little city behind her. Right now all that surrounded was nature and it's chants. She breathed deeply and glanced at the pokeball on her belt. It was just asking for her to open it.
Grabbing it, she released the Houndour within, yearning a low growl as a greeting.
Nyx crouched low, almost face to face with the pokemon that was giving her a puppy eyed face. She patted the dog's head and was greeted by a soft lick on her hand.
"Fer." She named him. The pokemon looked at her and nodded.
Nyx stood up with no other word directed at the pokemon. He'd grow used to her silence.
She walked toward the forest, watching as the moonlight glided over the water's surface. Better not go too close. After all, Fer wouldn't like water.
The mismagius morph paused as she watched her pokemon sniff around and growl. Seems like they were not alone. She looked around, watching as something tried to hide. A pokemon maybe? She didn't know what kind of pokemons would be awake at midnight.
She didn't pay much attention to it and resumed walking. If any pokemon wanted to attack them, they would be ready.
"Come on Fer." She told her pokemon, feeling him by her side.

In one of the trees a dull red stood out. It's owner was asleep, but only temporarily. It's black spots helped it hide, it enjoyed the cool of the night. It blinked its eyes open and stared with large eyes at the couple as they walked by.
A ladyba appeared! What will you do?

Nyx stared as the Ledyba appeared and glared at it, her creepy red eyes glinting in anticipation for the battle.
"Come on Fer, let's show this Ledyba what's a real battle."
The dog pokemon jumped toward the Ledyba, hearing what sounded oddly like bloodlust in his trainer's voice. He growled deeply at the bug pokemon, his fur standing high.
Nyx had been waiting long for a pokemon battle like this and gave her first order to her pokemon slave.
"Fer, use ember on the Ledyba!"
Sure enough, Fer inhaled deeply and not a second later shot a flame at the poor bug pokemon. Nyx knew that she had the advantage and grinned. She might have seemed cocky, but she had a fire pokemon fighting a bug pokemon. What were the odds in that?

The little bug pokemon glared at the trainer. Just his luck. He watched closely as the dark seeming couple turned his direction, then the ember flew at it. He dropped from the tree as if he knew what was coming, the ember flew into the tree and caught a few leaves on fire. He landed on the ground neatly and turned towards the couple. He used supersonic.

Nyx soon responded to Ledyba's supersonic.
"Quick, Fer, cover your ears!!!"
The pokemon did so, becoming unaffected by the supersonic.
"Now use Leer, and them Ember!"
The houndour glared down at Ledyba in a scary way and then once again, flames erupted from his mouth, covering the bug pokemon.

((It's fine. ^^)) The Ledyba hadn't noticed his attack hadn't hit home. He smiled an evil smile and looked up just as the Houndour used Ember. He fell backwards and winced from his burns. Now angered he rolled onto his side then leaped up into a full on tackle.

Nyx watched cooly as Fer used Ember on Ledyba ruthlessly. She was beginning to like this pokemon.
The flames ate at Ledyba's tissue, leaving it slightly burned and very hurt.
Fer grinned like a cheshire cat, ironically. However he was not waiting for Ledyba to recover so fast and when the bug pokemon came at him, he was taken by sheer surprise and was tackled backwards.
Of course, Nyx observed all this and keeping her cool, she shouted:
"Fer, use howl and ember again now that Ledyba is near you and hit it dead on!"
Wanting to impress his cruel trainer, the houndour did so, an eerie wolfish howl coming from his mouth. Then he shot some more fire that seemed oddly more powerful at the bug pokemon that was already scorched from the other attack.

Once the Ledyba tackled the houndour he smiled an evil smile. But yet again he was compromised. He dove to the ground as the ember flew over head, but it grazed his wings and he ended up being angrier than before. "Ledy!" <Stop!> But he knew it was no good. He pushed himself to his feet for another feeble tackle.
