She’d show them all. She’d show them all hell! Content with her newly achieved pet, Dare walked towards the first route, ignoring the two signs. She didn’t need help to find her way, especially not from dumb pieces of wood. Why did they have to insult her intelligence like that, all the time? She could’ve understood that the signs had a purpose to guide other people as well, but, nawh. She didn’t think about others. They didn’t matter. The girl was her own best friend, tutor, love and… alright, worst enemy. What more did you need in a lifetime? Another companion, alright, and she had one now!
Her long fingers trailed over the smooth surface of the red-and-white ball in her hand. It contained the kitty-cat, the Meowth. She could barely believe how lucky she was, and how incredibly stupid that Professor. Who’d give away such precious little creatures? Alright, other beasts might not be worth a lot and easy to breed, she could understand if he’d give away some Pidgeys or other worthless organisms. But a Meowth, that would eventually turn into a perfect, elegant, lovely Persian? Those had to be cherished, trained well and used to kick ass! That little ball in her hand held opportunities. It contained affection, power and respect. She couldn’t wait any longer. Dare hurried and walked towards a group of trees, sitting down in the shadow. Walking further could wait, she had to real destination anyway. The only thing that mattered was the Meowth.
Her back leaned against the cool bark and she enjoyed it, it was way too damned hot outside. Especially when one wore dark clothing, the light from the sun was trapped as warmth. Yuck. She preferred the cold, which matched nicely with her personality. Anyhow. She shook the ball slightly, wondering how she was supposed to get the creature out of it. She needn’t have worried, it clapped open and a red ray came out, forming into the white cat besides her. She watched, her usual frown changing into an expression of curiosity.
Damn it. It was too cute. The way the feline’s black eyes shimmered as it looked up at her cracked the faintest of all smiled upon her lips. ”Right.” she tried to regain her composure as she coughed, but it had the opposite effect. The Meowth tilted its head to look at her, appearing even more loveable. That tiny nose, those whiskers, the slightly twitching ears. Before she knew it, Dare had picked the critter up and clutched it to her chest, hugging it tightly. She gave up. Some things were too cute. ”…hell, you’re great. Right, listen up. I’ll call you Nyuru from now on. I’m Dare, so if you hear that, you know they mean me. Oh, fuck it, why am I talking to a Pokémon like that. I must be screwed up in the brains.” She released it from her caress, letting it loose. Nyuru curled up on her lap, sitting down comfortably. She kept watching it, suddenly wondering what gender it had. And no, she wouldn’t look-
”Mreeeoww~!” the cat cried out in a rather low voice. She considered it too low to be female, okay, so she just assumed he was a little boy. She might be wrong, but did it really matter that much? A little boy-kitty he was, okay. ”So you’re a macho macho man, huh?” the young woman frowned again, resting her hand on his warm body. The fur was softer than expected, she actually enjoyed stroking him. She actually hesitated to make this beauty fight, what if he’d get hurt? She’d just have to train him well, so he couldn’t be damaged. The undefeatable cuteness! Or maybe he was more suitable for beauty contests? Time would tell.
”So, Nyuru. Yeah, Nyuru, that’s you, kitten. I bet you want to grow up and be tough, don’t you?” she spoke, expecting no answer. However, her companion let out a short ”Mreo.” again, sweetly. It made her smirk. The corners of her mouth jerked up slightly, giving her the naughty ‘I-know-something-you-don’t’ look. ”Sure. And- ”Mreeeoooowwww~!” he interrupted her this time and wiggled atop of her legs. Was he impatient? Nervous? Playful? Who could tell with Pokémon, right? Or did he sense someone? That was most likely. It might as well be another critter, but nevertheless, Dare checked herself out. She had to appear as gorgeous as possible at all times, of course. Her onyx tank top still hugged her chest and abdomen nicely, the wide pants that she wore beneath that were okay too. The shirt had slid up a bit, revealing a tiny bit of her tummy and navel, she could live with that. If you’ve got something nice, why not show it off, right?

((-Scream- No one has posted and It's been 4 days! Sorreh!)) In the lake not to far down the route a strange looking green shape bobbed up and down in the water. Lilly pads floated gently near the edges of the lake but one was acting strange. With a quick burst of speed the lily pad floated to the center of the lake. What was going on?
A strange object is floating in the water. Investigate?
