Laci walked, hands in the pockets of her special jacket. She preferred to stay away from the water around here, and there was plenty ground near here. She paused and looked around, satisfied with her place of selection. "Come on out, Fae," she said, and grabbed her Cyndaquil's Pokeball. The little Pokemon appeared, and looked around curiously. "Hey, ready for some training?" she asked, picking up the tiny fire Pokemon. Fae nodded entusiastically, and the flames on her back flared slightly. It was a hardly noticable amount, for she was still a new Pokemon. "Good, then come on!" Laci cheered, and set Fae down. "Ready, here's an easy one: Tackle!" Fae nodded and threw herself at her trainer's ankles, trying to throw her off balance. Laci grinned and winced, but did nothing else. "Aw, c'mon, Fae," she sighed, kneeling down to pat the Pokemon's head. "You can do better than that, I'm sure. don't worry about hurting me, if that's what's wrong. Honest. Now try again, and this time as hard as you can." Fae backed up a bit and nodded meekly before charging and throwing herself at Laci's chest, pushing off the ground with as much force as her small body could manage. Caught off-guard, Laci gasped and fell backwards, landing on the ground with Fae in her arms. "Nice!" she laughed, hugging her tightly. "Now do you want some food? Or wanna keep training?"

Two eyes stared out from the bushes as the trainer and her pokemon trained. The eyes followed their every movement. The Tailow paused, and took a step out of the bushes. A scratch went across the pokemon's left eye, making it squint slightly. Spreading his wings, the pokemon pushed itself into the air, and circled the two, anticipating it's next move. the pokemon could attack, or it could always just follow them. Ether way, the pokemon was there. Weather the trainer ran or not.
You have encountered a Tailow, what will you do?

Laci waited patiently for Fae's response. The Pokemon was thinking, wondering whether or not she should eat now or later. "Well, how about we take a break?" Laci suggested. "It took us a while to get here." Fae nodded. She was a bit hungry.
Laci pulled her bag around and tossed a bit of Pokechow over to Faeria. She glanced up, shielding her eyes from the sun, and a grin spread across her face. "Fae, look," she whispered, pointing. "Think you're up for your first battle?" The Pokemon followed her trainer's gaze, and noticed for the first time a bird Pokemon circling above them. She turned back to the Pokechow and swallowed the last bit before standing and nodding. "Good," Laci said before standing up. She pursed her lips in thought. How would her Cyndaquil fight a Tailow? Fae couldn't fly, that was certain. "Fae, use smokescreen." Faeria nodded in acknowledgment and a cloud of thick smoke rose, completely hiding the small Pokemon, and just about anything nearby. Laci coughed, waving a bit out of her face. Fae would need to work on her attacks a bit more.

A screen of smoke entered the air, so the bird pokemon flew higher. It's piercing eyes glared beneath as t began to await the smoke to clear. taking a moment to think it through, the pokemon shot down into the smoke, for it saw the flickering red from the Cyndaquil's back. It was using peck from above, and moving into the fire pokemon quickly. Wings spread, neck stiffened, and legs brought to it, the pokemon moved in for the attack.

Laci watched as the Tailow moved up, away from the smoke. "Fae, look out!" she shouted, seeing as it dove down. Fae would have to do something quick, unless she wanted to be pecked. The Cyndaquil looked around, unable to see very well through the smoke. The flames on her back danced, licking at the air around her. "Faeria, make it harder for it to catch you!" Laci called. If Fae could just catch the Tailow offguard, it would make things so much easier. The Pokemon nodded and danced around, not staying in one spot for much longer than a few seconds.

The Tailow shot through the smoke, and saw the target moving. It just missed as the pokemon moved, making it swoop back up out of the smoke, and look to the trainer. yes, the bird was aggressive towards people looking things. Even if it was a stone figure, he hated them all seeing how the scar on his eye was from one. Shooting toward the trainer in a peck, the pokemon squawked. "FOOL!"

"What the...?" Laci squeaked, seeing the Tailow change course. "Fae, hurry and use tackle!" Faeria ran out of the slowly dissappearing smoke and threw herself off of the ground, attempting to ram her head right into the bird. No Pokemon would harm her trainer, not as long as she was around. "Cyn! Cynda quil, quil! <No! You don't touch her!>" she growled as she sailed towards the Tailow. (( Sorry it's so short, I have writer's block. ))

All the bird felt was a head ramming into it's side, making it angry. Quickly fluttering up, the bird glared down to this pokemon in silence. "Stupid fool." He squawked while dive bombing another tackle to the pokemon. It's eyes, squinted, and it's beak, slightly parted. The pokemon was strong, seeing how it was on level eight. Yet, weakened because of the use of only one eye. Will it be caught by the trainer? Or will it KO the other pokemon?
OOC: Nah it is fine. ^^ I do as well.

"Fae, tackle then smokescreen!" Laci shouted. If the Cyndaquil could managed this, she'd be in for a special treat. But then again, she'd get iteven if she lost. So it wasn't important. The Cyndaquil nodded and ran towards the Tailow, and began to have second thoughts. They were both trying to tackle each other, and clearly the bird Pokemon was stronger. Who would be KOed, if either of them?

AS the pokemon ran toward the tailow, the bird chirped. If this pokemon could have a smile on his face, he would. Turning his head tot eh side, the bird clashed into the pokemon, head to beak, yet painful. The bird bounced back, and squawked. "That was my beak fool!" Shaking his head, the bird flew back up into the air, and landed on a branch. IT just watched the other pokemon. This bird, it was annoyed. His eyes squinted, and he just stared tot he trainer and her pokemon.

Fae jumped back and shook her head side to side, trying to clear the pain from the bird's beak. "Smokescreen, then keep dancing around like before!" Laci called, and watched as her Pokemon watched the Tailow warily. "C'mon, don't worry. We'll win this!" Faeria nodded, and used Smokescreen. The heavy gray cloud hovered above her, while she wove in and out of little puffs, not stopping for anything.

The tailow just watches as the pokemon jumped around. it knew that this pokemon was going to wear itself out sooner or later. A glint in the bird's eye caught something. A movement. His eyes followed the small fire pokemon, every move caught. If this was going to keep up he would win easily. The pokemon would be worn out, and he would come in for the final blow. But wait, what fun would that be? Well, lets just see. The bird pokemon jumped onto the ground, and watched as this pokemon jumped left and right. Very amusing.

Fae was growing tired, but she didn't dare stop. She knew that the Tailow would attack if she rested, and if she didn't rest, it would only be delayed. "Fae, try using leer. I don't know." Laci instructed desperately. She threw her arms up in frustration. If they couldn't defeat a Tailow, how would they ever defeat another Pokemon? Faeria nodded and searched for the bird through the smoke. She could barely see the outline if it's body, but she figured it would work as she did as told, using leer.

Tailow looked to the pokemon. It's eyes were glowing. The pokemon was obviously getting tired, and this was amusing. Then it his him, literally. Leer his into the bird as he jumped backwards. What was that? Well, Leer of course. The pokemon had it used on him before, so didn't really care. Bouncing forward into the smoke, it made a small chirp, and used tackle towards the small pokemon. Did it hit? Well, that was unknown to even the bird. it was tired, and quite frankly needed sleep. Perhaps the pokemon would flee.

(( As said in the Cbox, I have lost my muse... sorreh. =( ))
Laci sighed. Fae was tired, but maybe the Tailow was too. Now was their chance, either way; it had entered the smoke. "Fae, use tackle!" she instructed. The Cyndaquil felt something hit her, and she broke out of her Leer. She landed on her side an inch away; she could tell that the bird Pokemon was getting tired, which was good. She got up and ran into him, trying to finally win this battle. She was exhausted, and needed rest. But she wouldn't give up- not yet.

The bird flinched, ad fell back. it struggled to stand up again but the pokemon had had enough. It was unable to fight any longer. A tear ran down the pokemon's cheek as it looked to it's wing, it was bent back. A small chirp, and the bird lied there, and stared to the other pokemon. It's scar was making sure it's eyes staid shut as the pokemon stared up to it's master.
The Tailow has fainted, will you catch it?
OOC: sorry for the crap post. ^^; I as well lost my muse.

Laci squinted into the smoke that was drifting away too slowly for her liking. But as it grew thin enough to see into, a grin spread across her face. "Way ta go, Fae!" she cheered, and ran up to hug her Pokemon. The Tailow was on the ground, and she reached out hesitantly to stroke his feathers. They were soft the the touch, but roughened from life's hardships. "You were a tough fighter," she said, and rummaged through her pack for a Pokeball. This Pokemon would help her in battles, and would help her catch more fire Pokemon. With a flick of her wrist, she tossed the red and white ball at the bird Pokemon, and watched as he disappeared into it with a pinkish flash of light. "You're name'll be... Calhoun. Cal for short." she said in a matter-of-fact tone. "It matches you perfectly." she added, and laughed to herself.

(( It's completely fine, don't worry about it! ^^ ))
Laci picked up the Pokeball and held it in her palm for a moment. She had actually caught a Pokemon. The idea excited her; now she had two Pokemon to help her in her quest to catch every fire Pokemon out there. "C'mon, Fae, you worked hard," she said, and replaced Cal's Pokeball with Fae's. She tossed it out, and the tired Cyndaquil disappeared in a flash of red light. "You're both gonna be really tired for a while, huh. Well, that's fine, you two can rest." she added, shrugging. She walked over to one of the trees that lined the trail and sat under it's shade with her two Pokemon in her bag.

A sound of rustling came in the grass, making the tall greenery move around. Was there something in there? The sound of paws scratch the ground. Yet there is a splashing sound in the water, something has fallen in.
Which will you investigate if any?
OOC: Sweet. it seems to load really late at night if I give it a while. b^^d
