Criminal? Where?

A lone figure stalked through the shadows of a large building, the Lab. Her expression was calm, that of someone who had skill with lying and stealing, without being caught.
She darted around the corner and inside the doors.
"Hello?" she called in a voice that didn't match the face. It was too sweet, too high-pitched for someone who was willing to turn their best friend into the police in order to save themselves.
The girl's name was Raichelle, run away from home when she was a child. Rai for short. Though she didn't trust anyone, let alone strangers, she knew this was the only way to get a Pokemon without stealing one. And no one around here seemed to have any electric Pokemon, let alone any that were worth her time.

Kayle looked up from his clip board and watched as the girl called out. "Come in. I'm Professor Kayle Braknar. Here for your starter?" He then walked over to the pokeball table he started checking off names on the clip board so he could know how many of which pokemon he still had.

Rai spun towards the voice, not jumpy, just out of instinct.
"Oh, yes, I am," she said, and allowed a quick, innocent smile. May as well play the part a bit, and not give him the right impression. "I'm Rai. Do you happen to have any electric Pokemon?"
She waited for his reply, and then looked over to the table of Pokeballs. She didn't see any Electric Pokemon, but one caught her eye.
"Actually, could I have a Sandshrew?" she asked, and pointed to one of the red and white balls. It wasn't an electric Pokemon, but it would be a good starter, one that she could train quickly and use to catch some.

Kayle smiled and picked up a pokeball labeled 'sandshrew'. He tossed it to her and smiled. "There ya go! Enjoy."
