Skyy held her Pidgey's Pokeball in her hands as she walked, not wanting to risk dropping it and not noticing. I mean, if she put it in her bag, there could be an unnoticed hole in the side, and Pidgey's Pokeball would just roll out! Approaching a simple trail, the new trainer tossed the red and white ball in the air. "C'mon out!" she called, and caught the ball as a bright flash of light indicated her Pokemon was out. Tucking it away in her bag, she glanced up. "Alright, Pidgey, you and I are going to start some serious training."
At that note, she set her bag down and grinned, shifting into her Pidgeot form. It helped a lot, being able to actually understand what her Pokemon would be saying, and being able to allow the bird a chance to train with an actual Pokemon, even if it would be one-way. "Alright, use Tackle on me," she called to Flite. Flite nodded, and flew a bit higher before folding her wings in and diving at Skyy. It was a blow to the chest, and the Pidgeot hit the ground while the Pidgey hovered in the air again, a satisfied gleam in her eye. "Nice job," Skyy grunted, shoving off the ground to get in the air again. "Now try Gust, see if I can stay in the air." "Sure," Flite called, and began to flap her wings frantically, making a slight wind blow around the two. Skyy's blue feathers blew around her, but she remained in the air. "Flite, c'mon, more energy!" she said. Her wings were having trouble keeping her up, but it wasn't enough to make her land. The Pidgey's wings beat at the air for a moment more, then she sighed. "It's not working," Flite growled as her feet hit the ground. "Can we work on that later?" "No," Skyy replied. "We can work on it now. Keep trying."

Off to the side of the trail not to far from the pair a strange box sat on the corner. Normally one would just pass by, in fact everyone so far had passed by. What they didn't notice was that the box had eyes, little beady black eyes that followed your every move. It sat there silently, watching the pair train.
A Grass Bokog appeared! What will you do?

Grumbling, Flite flapped her wings in an attempt to create a gust of wind to blow Skyy out of the air. I'll show her... she thought, her annoyance fueling the attack's strength. After a moment of struggle, the Pidgeot fell from the sky, landing on the side of the trail. "That was go-" Skyy attampted, but was interupted. "Skyy, what's that?" the Pidgey asked, nodding to a green box-like thing. "What's what?" Skyy growled, turning to look. "It looks like a box." Skyy hadn't ever seen anything like it; but Pidgey seemed ready to attack anything. There was still left-over annoyance to fuel fighting. "Well, we could use it to train," Skyy suggested, and jumped into the air again. "Use tackle on it."
(( Lol, sorry, had to make her clueless. x3 ))

The little box didn't move, it just sat unblinking. But when she said to use tackle it angered it. At first it seemed to just be a mirage, but then it was clear that the box's sides and face was shifting. Than at last it started pulling apart and then reformed in a dog like shape, without a tail. "Bo! Bo bo bo!" it started yapping at the bird pokemon. At heart the Bokog was a nervous thing. He had never, never ever been so close to a human. He wanted to seem large and scary. But hey, no one had ever seen such a thing before. Maybe her pokedex could tell her what it was?

Flite was diving down as the box changed shape. She let out a screech and beat her wings upward to stop the attack, slowing her down enough to where she could landed a few feet away from the odd green thing. Skyy watched it for a moment and shifted back to a human. She walked over to her bag and grabbed her Pokedex from it, pointing it to the creature. "A Bokog?" she muttered. "Grass, okay. But there's like, nothing in here for it." Frustrated, Skyy glared at it, listening to it's bark-like noises. "Well, tackle anyway," she shrugged. "It's a Pokemon, I guess, so here's your chance for a battle, Flite." The Pidgey nodded and leaped into the air before diving down in a tackle attack.

He watched through narrow eyes as the pokedex spoke stuff about him. Oh, great, looking up about me now? He stamped his feet "Kog..." <great...> He crouched low to the ground and used Protect.

Flite, for the second time, stopped her attack. "Aw, c'mon!" Skyy complained. "What's wrong now? Just use Gust, try to blow the thing over!" The Pidgey watched the Bokog curiously, waiting to see if it would do anything before beating her wings furiously, creating a gust of wind. Skyy's short blue hair blew around her face, annoying her. But she ignored it as best she could and watched to see if this attack would work well-enough, or at least catch it off-guard.

He had used protect, and doing so he collapsed himself into a box. The gust hit him hard and blew him back a few feet, but the protect had done it's job. He pulled himself into dog form again and took a deep breath before using Bullet seed.

Skyy growled in frustration, waiting for the wind to blow past her. "Dodge, Flite!" she shouted, watching as the Bokog seemingly spit out dozens of seeds, aimed to her Pidgey. Flite obeyed, trying to fly out of the way, but almost half hit the unexperienced Pokemon. She fell in the air, flapping furiously to stay up. "Use sand attack," Skyy said, thinking of all of her Pidgey's attacks and trying to decide which would be effective on this cleverly defended Pokemon. Flite called over to let her Trainer know that she understood and tried to do just that. With little success, she finally gave up and dove down in a last minute tackle.

He waddled forward towards the pidgey as it hovered in the air. Hah! Nice try! He thought as the sand simply brushed by, distracting him a bit but not doing much. Then he was about to use protect again when the tackle came out of no where. Hit straight on he flew back and rolled around in a tangle of limb blocks. Shaking his head and pushing himself to his feet he glared at the bird, a scrape covered his left cheek. "Bo ooo ko og!" <Hah, nice try kid!> He hurt but he wouldn't show it. He used absorb trying to regain health by stealing it from the pidgey.

Skyy, who had never even heard of such a Pokemon, had no idea what to expect. "Um..." she muttered, thinking fast. "Try... I don't know, just use a mix of gust and tackles, try to distract it, while still trying to win." Flite nodded, unsure of what was happening. She dove down in a tackle, feeling the tiniest bit more tired. As if they'd been battling for more than a mere ten minutes, if not less. But she ignored the strange feeling, flying back upward to bat her wings as quickly as she could manage, creating a decent gust attack. But before the wind could stop, she dove in another tackle, trying to distract it, as she was told.

The gust attack made him close his eyes for a moment, it had brushed dust off the ground into his eyes. Shaking his head and taking a few steps back he was hit full on by the tackle. "Bo!" He slid across the ground and shook his head as he stood. "Kog! ko. ko. ko!" <Ouch! You. Little. Jerk!> He squeaked before stepping forward and using tackle.

Flite, who was still trying to gain hight from the tackle, was hit by the little green box-like Pokemon's attack. It sent her back a few feet, landing on the ground with an unnatural squawk. "C'mon, Flite, don't give up," Skyy called, waiting for her Pokemon to get up. "Just keep using tackle, or... or something! Do whatever you think's worth it!" Flite rose a foot off the ground, then slowly gained altitude. She was getting tired fast, and her eyes showed it. But she wouldn't give up until she wasn't able to fly anymore. After a moment, she attempted another tackle, trying to hit him head-on.

The Bokog snorted and took a few angry steps towards Flite. He scratched at the ground before moving forward to attack. But the pidgey flew high in the air causing him to stumble backwards in shock. The tackle slammed straight into his chest as he sat on his butt. He toppled into the ground and winced as he pushed himself back to his feet. Shaking his head and pawing at his face he swallowed nervously. He didn't like battles. He felt like crying, a small tear fell down his cheek. But he wiped it away and glared at the bird. He used Stun Spore.

"Flite, use gust! Try to blow it away!" Skyy called in desperation. She could tell her Pokemon was getting tired, and wouldn't be able to hold out much longer. But if the stun spore hit her, it would be over anyway. Better later than sooner. The Pidgey flew frantically away from the rising cloud of stun spore, her wings beating the dust away before she even tried using gust. But she started flapping her wings faster, blowing the stun spore away and back at the Bokog. "Ha! Try to stun my Flite, and you'll get it right back!" Skyy laughed, and she suddenly wondered if Flite really could win this battle. If they didn't it was fine. They were new to this sort of thing. But if they did, she'd be sure to give Flite an extra special treat.

He winced as the yellow cloud blew back in his face. Holding his breath he held of the stun spore, but was blown back by the gust. He struggled to his feet once and glared at the bird. He moved forward as if to use tackle, but collapsed along the way.
The Grass Bokog Fainted! What will you do?

Skyy watched as the Pokemon moved towards Flite again, and groaned. "Flite, use-" she said, but was cut off as the Bokog fell to the ground. "Is it... Did it faint? Pokemon can play dead, can they?" Assuming it had fainted, Skyy knelt down and rummaged through her bag for a Pokeball. When one was in her hand, she stood. Did she really want to miss a chance at her first Pokemon that she had deserved? No. But did she really want a Bokog? Kind of. It was a pretty good Pokemon, and it seemed to be a fighter. So with a shrug, she tossed the Pokeball at the collapsed heap of green, an excited gleam in her eye. "Good job, Flite," she called, and motioned for her to come over. She did as told, and flew over, landing on the ground at her trainer's feet. "You deserve a huge treat after that. And a good rest."

The red light enveloped the green box dog pokemon. It changed into it's normal box shape and disappeared into the ball.
Congtatz you've caught a Grass Bokog!

Skyy grinned and kelt down to hug Flite before retrieving the Pokeball. "Nice job, Flite," she said again, and looked over her new Bokog. "Come on out," she said, and tossed the Pokeball. In a flash of light, her newly caught Bokog appeared. "Your name is Bentley," she told him. "Be nice to Flite, and Flite, be nice to Bentley. We're together now, the three of us." She grabbed both Pokeballs and tossed them to her Pokemon, both of them disappearing in a flash. She tucked them away in her bag and slung it over her shoulder, continuing with her travels.

Off to the left of the trail a small glimmer off of a shiny surface shone in Skyy's direction.
Will you investigate?
